Teaching

Aprille McShane is a visual artist and creative facilitator with over 12 years of experience helping communities, organisations, and individuals connect with their creativity through expressive play. Working across printmaking, drawing, and painting, her practice centres on close observation, nature connection, and storytelling through materials.

Aprille collaborates widely to deliver thoughtful, hands-on creative experiences. She has worked with the Roald Dahl Museum, Wakefield Museums, Carousel Print Studio, Yorkshire Artspace, Sheffield Hallam University, Rotherham Council and others, developing workshops and projects that encourage curiosity, experimentation, and imaginative engagement with place.

Her community-focused work is grounded in the belief that creativity is an essential tool for wellbeing, connection, and understanding the world around us. Whether in the studio, outdoors, or within schools and cultural spaces, Aprille’s approach invites people of all ages to explore, play, and make with confidence.
